Matt cut his teeth in the desert near Kalgoorlie doing turnkey design, simulation, testing, and commissioning of rail control systems.

He began his Systems Engineering journey doing integration and testing on the BHP autonomous rail project.

Matt became a Certified Systems Engineering Professional while performing the role of Requirements Manager for major Perth METRONET rail upgrades.

He is currently contracted through Beyonde to Fortescue Zero to design, test, and manufacture the Infinity train, the world’s most efficient battery-electric locomotive.

Matt is a space industry advocate and member of the WA Rocket Society, where he teaches his kids model rocketry and how to develop high-powered rockets with modern control systems.
